Tour Mountain Springs Grounds
Mountain Springs is open year round. Each season in the mountains has its own character and quality. In the fall, the crimson leaves of sumac foretell that autumn is at hand. Apples fall from the trees, and a cidery scent fills the air. The squirrels get busier in the hickories. Winter brings the smell of woodsmoke and the sight of frost on the windows as you snuggle under your quilt and comforter, the crisp mountain air a wonderful contrast to the cozy warmth of your cabin. Peepers and tree frogs herald the coming of spring, accompanied by song sparrows in the maple trees and wild geese flying overhead on their way northward. Summer brings warm days and cool nights and a profusion of rhododendrons and mountain laurel. Whatever season you choose for your visit (we suggest trying them all), take a deep breath of cool, clean mountain air and let nature enfold you in the serenity that is Mountain Springs.
